Today, Saturday, April 26, 2025, the burial of Pope Francis is underway. Speaker of Parliament Anita Among and Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa are present in Vatican City to represent Uganda at the funeral, held at St Peter’s Square in Vatican City.
The ceremony has drawn over 150,000 mourners, including more than 130 world leaders and dignitaries from across the globe.
During the event, Speaker Among and Deputy Speaker Tayebwa were seen sharing a light moment with former U.S. President Joe Biden and Kenyan President William Ruto.
