This morning, the 6th of April, we saw thousands of Ugandans turn up for the Kabaka Run at Lubiri. Despite the heavy morning rain, people still showed up.

Moments later, the Kabaka of the Buganda kingdom, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi, turned up for the event and flagged off people for the run. Kabaka turned 70 today and was seen happy following the support of many that came for his run.
Many also took to their social media platforms to congratulate the Kabaka on his milestone. National Unity Platform president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, aka Bobi Wine, also celebrated Kabaka’s birthday in the United Kingdom.
Bobi Wine posted a video on his different social media platform accounts wishing Kabaka a happy 70th birthday and went forward to do 70 push-ups in line with Kabaka’s 70 years on earth.
“Kabaka’s Birthday found me away in the UK, but this does not stop me from celebrating it. I will do 70 push-ups to celebrate Kabaka’s 70th birthday,” said Bobi Wine.
Bobi Wine also thanked all those that made it to the run, especially his fellow NUP comrades and officials in the country.
